PUSZMAN is a Polish brand that has been creating upholstered furniture continuously since 1955. The company was founded and managed by a family, passing it down from generation to generation.
For years, we've been inspiring people to design their home spaces functionally. A beautiful interior evokes peace, harmony, and comfort, or, quite the opposite, energy, joy, and a complete home.
When tradition meets modernity
The roots of the PUSZMAN family business date back to 1920, when Stanisław Puschmann opened a saddlery in Kobyla Góra. He specialized in high-quality saddles and upholstery. Master Stanisław passed on the secrets of his trade and craftsmanship to his sons. After World War II, he moved with his family to Syców in the Recovered Territories.
After his death in 1955, the company was taken over by the youngest of his brothers, Antoni, who, focusing on the production of high-quality upholstered furniture, created the foundations of the PUSZMAN brand.
Despite the difficulties associated with running a private business in the times of the Polish People's Republic, the company developed gradually.
The company's expansion was halted in 1985 by the sudden death of Antoni Puszman. A very difficult period of political transformation and the shaping of free market principles in Poland ensued.
In 2000, the youngest daughter, Magdalena Puszman-Kornak, took over the company's helm. To this day, she manages and dynamically develops it with her husband, Cezary Kornak.
Currently, the fourth generation of the PUSZMAN furniture family is coming to the fore - sons Robert Kornak and Łukasz Kornak. Continuing the family tradition, they bring their youthful enthusiasm, innate professional passion, fresh perspective, and modern design to the company.

Our upholstered furniture is manufactured in Poland – in Syców, near Wrocław. This is where the heart of our business is located. This is not just a production hall – it's a place full of passionate people. From top designers to talented craftsmen and women who create small works of art for everyday use from scratch.
Sustainable development
Tradition is incredibly important to us – as are the issues of our time. That's why the production of our upholstered furniture is environmentally friendly. In addition to using recycled materials, our factory is also powered by energy generated by photovoltaic panels. As a modern company, we feel responsible for our planet.
Respect for tradition
We are one of the oldest Polish companies in the upholstered furniture industry, family-owned and operated. We can confidently say that the spirit of history defines our brand. Therefore, we don't distance ourselves from the past, but draw inspiration from it—adapted to contemporary times and interiors. Many of our most iconic models have been created by combining tradition and modernity.
Timeline
Saddlery and harness workshop
Stanisław Puschmann established a small saddlery and upholstery workshop in Kobyla Góra, where he manufactured upholstered products as well as harnesses and saddles, which were highly valued by the local equestrian elite.
Times of War
The outbreak of World War II halted the development of the family business. Master Stanisław taught his sons the secrets of the craft. The youngest of them – Antoni – earned his journeyman's title in saddlery and upholstery
The Birth of the PUSZMAN Brand
After the wartime period of stagnation, the Puszman family – in search of better living conditions – moved to Syców in the Recovered Territories. After the founder's death in 1955, the youngest son, Antoni Puszman, took over the business, which marked the beginnings of the PUSZMAN brand.
Foundations of company growth
Despite the difficulties associated with running a private business
in the communist era, the company developed successfully, gradually expanding
the range of upholstered furniture produced, following trends and gaining increasingly wider markets.
In the 1980s, the plant was expanded with a modern carpentry shop and
employed several dozen people.
A difficult time…
The company's expansion was halted in 1985 by the sudden death of Antoni Puszman, which coincided with a very difficult period of political transformation and the formation of free-market principles in Poland.
The development of the Puszman brand – combining family craftsmanship tradition with a contemporary spirit. All to meet the needs of the most demanding furniture users.
The company's continued dynamic growth – we currently operate three production plants, and our furniture is sold through an extensive network of partner furniture stores, online stores, and retail chains. We have become a recognizable brand producing functional sofas and corner sofas. All these initiatives have transformed our small facility into a modernly managed factory employing over 250 employees. Many of them have been with us from the beginning, often with their entire families. We appreciate their perseverance and hard work. Together, we are building this company's success.
Strategic cooperation
Collaboration with Marcin Tyszka, a renowned photographer and artist, which resulted in the creation of the PUSZMAN x Tyszka collection.
Another collaboration is an alliance with Ceramika Paradyż. The goal of this partnership is to combine the comfort of upholstered furniture with modern ceramic materials to create innovative products of exceptional design and quality.

In 2025, PUSZMAN celebrated its 70th anniversary – seven decades of passion, craftsmanship and care for the comfort of homes around the world.
