Before first use
1.Do not bring in furniture without packaging! Purchased furniture should be unpacked only after it has been brought into the target room. To avoid damage to the cover and decorative elements, it is recommended to unpack the furniture carefully and without sharp tools (the tape should be peeled off by hand).
2.Upon receipt of the upholstered furniture, please carefully check for scratches, abrasions, tears, punctures or other damage to the fabric structure, as well as damage to the structural and decorative elements. It is recommended to check if the furniture is complete, i.e. if it was delivered according to the order.
3.In case of discrepancies or mechanical damage, when unpacking the furniture, keep the original manufacturer’s packaging until the appearance of the manufacturer’s service and assessment of the causes of mechanical damage.
4.For modular furniture it is necessary to assemble the components yourself by connecting the connectors according to the instructions enclosed with the furniture.
6.Please read the instructions carefully before you start assembling the legs.
7.For furniture with sleep function, please remove the protection according to the enclosed instructions.
8.Please level the upholstered product before use, that is, make sure the floor is flat.
9.Any questionable function of moving parts, such as the sleep function, armrests or headrests, must be reported to the seller immediately.
10.Transportation and storage may cause irregular folding and creasing of the upholstery fabric on the furniture after unpacking. The reversal of this effect usually occurs within a few days after unpacking. Acceleration of the process of eliminating deformation of soft elements can be achieved by hand shaping cushions, armrests and seats.11.Ensure appropriate conditions in the rooms where the product is used or stored, i.e. temperature between +15°C and +30°C, humidity between 40% and 70%. The distance between the product and active heat sources should not be less than 1 meter. To avoid fading of the cover fabric, do not expose the furniture to direct sunlight.
Rules for proper use of upholstered furniturev
General rules for the care and maintenance of upholstery fabrics used for upholstered furniture. Following a few simple tips will help extend the life of your furniture and ensure your satisfaction.
- Prevent dirt, dust and other contaminants from remaining on the surface of the fabric. It is recommended to clean the furniture once a week with a soft vacuum cleaner nozzle suitable for furniture or manually with a soft brush. At the same time, excessive friction and vacuuming with high power (over 60 W) should be avoided in order not to damage the fabric fibers. It is advisable to carefully shake out all removable parts of the furniture, preferably in the fresh air.
- Fabrics that have hair on their surface – chenille, velor, flock, must be regularly combed with a soft brush. This will prevent the hair from pressing on the surface of the fabric, especially in places of intensive use. The hair retains its elasticity and the fabric retains its delicate features.
- For greasy and wet stains, use blotting paper or a paper towel and then a clean, damp and soft sponge so that the stain is quickly absorbed. Otherwise, the stain may penetrate the fabric fibers, making effective cleaning impossible. Only then can you proceed with stain removal using lukewarm water and a neutral detergent for hand washing. The soiled surface should be cleaned with gentle circular movements from the outside to the inside, avoiding vigorous rubbing of wet hair. After removing the stain, allow the fabric to dry at room temperature. Repeat the process if necessary, extending the cleaned area around the stain to reduce the circular effect. Brush the dried surface.
- Before cleaning the furniture, test how the surface reacts to the chemical by applying it to an invisible, small part of the furniture. In this way, we avoid fabric damage, discoloration or other visible deformations caused by overly aggressive exposure to the agent.
- Furniture that has a removable cover can be washed with the zipper closed on the left side (set the program for wool washing) or dry cleaned according to the symbols on the label. As recommended by fabric manufacturers, do not use bleach, lye or fabric softener and avoid washing the cover with other fabrics.
- Before drying, damp covers should be stretched evenly in both directions.
Models with removable covers on the backrest, seat or decorative cushions may discolor the fabric when washed, resulting in color differences between the permanently upholstered body and the cushions. - Permanently upholstered furniture loses its ability to be wet washed, so it is recommended to have the service performed by a company specializing in upholstery cleaning.
- Do not use an iron on the outside of the fabric. Stained wrinkles can be removed with a fabric steamer.
- It is important to protect the surface of the furniture from pets to avoid irreversible damage to the structure of the cover fabric.
- It should be noted that covering chenille, polyester fabrics with natural fibers or wool fabrics with pile quilts can contribute to the so-called pilling, which occurs due to the combination of foreign fibers with the fibers of the covering fabric. The peeling effect can be easily removed with a fabric razor.
Caution Use only water-soluble cleaners to clean upholstery fabrics. Do not use solutions containing petroleum or alcohol, such as chloroethylene or turpentine.
